How long do most of you leave your sew in or extensions in at a time? I’ve heard 5 months and 6 months…. NO WAY! Unless you’re locking your hair 4 months is top in my book, 3 months is sweet! Dirt/residue can not escape your hair with braids , let along tracks added . You can wash it as often it needs an outlet after Sometimes. So while you’re enjoying the freedom of not dealing with the natural ,please remember that you don’t want to create a birds nets on your head…3 months greats 4months top and you’re pushing it.
Transitioning from relaxers is very common these days. But some of you just aren’t realistic. You must care of your natural hair during the transition even with a sew in. Keeping your natural strands dry doesn’t help. Constant heat to keep up with trends doesn’t help as well. Bad eating habits and low consumption of water doesn’t help either. Sew ins are great to help but they are not an excuse to neglect your natural hair…
A year later! Major growth..all from a sew in weaves. Their not just for black women to benefit from. Of course there many options and techniques of sew ins that you can choose from. So if your natural hair isn’t growing while you have extensions in, time to switch. Or perhaps come see me:-)
Micro ring extensions.
They are a great add on for bangs and thin area on the scalp. They can be purchase at the hair shop in L.A or www.hairpiece.com
Ok, seriously, Parisian women (now including my boo Ciara) are the most stylish, elegant creatures. WTF. Coming from Cape Town to Paris, I felt like the biggest bum ever. I mean I do love me some Cape Town, but anyone who lives here can agree that this place is no style hub.
More like a tacky mess, but look I’m not one to gossip. Anywho, I spotted this fantastic mother in Le Marais in Paris, and she blew my mind. HELLO, pumps, a graffiti LV bag, AND her kid strapped to the bike she was peddling. Too much. Loved it all.
